ABOUT ANNA
Anna (Wiegandt) Lammly is an Upstate New York-based harpist maintaining an active presence as a performer and instructor. She frequently performs with the Syracuse Symphoria and has played with the Carmel Symphony Orchestra and Cordancia Chamber Orchestra. As a soloist, Anna has been featured with the Crane Symphony Orchestra, the Eastern Music Festival Orchestra, and the Hochstein Alumni Orchestra. In addition to being named a finalist in the American Harp Society's Anne Adams Awards, she has earned accolades as a winner of the Boston Harp Festival’s Stars of Tomorrow Competition, the Crane Concerto Competition, and the American Harp Society’s Harp Ensemble Competition with the Crane Harp Ensemble. Anna frequently collaborates in a duo with her husband, saxophonist Andrew Lammly, and continues to be in demand as a harpist for weddings and other private events in the area.
One of Anna's greatest passions is sharing the harp with students of all ages through private instruction. She has held teaching positions at St. Lawrence University and the Holy Name of Jesus Academy in Massena, NY. Anna's mentors include Susann McDonald, Elizabeth Hainen, Florence Sitruk, and Jessica Suchy-Pilalis. Anna has a B.M. in Music Performance from the Crane School of Music and an M.M. in Music Performance from the Jacob's School of Music at Indiana University, where she served as the Associate Instructor of the Harp Department.
